A Real estate developer, specialized in hotel and office properties. Rodrigo has been responsible for the acquisition, design, financing and construction of more than 1.4 million square feet of commercial properties throughout Florida. Valued at more than 140 million dollars, the properties were financed with various capital structures, including domestic and international private equity investments, bank loans, and EB-5 Visas for foreign investors seeking for Permanent Residence or Green Cards in the United States.
Within the Riviera Point hotel portfolio is La Quinta Inn & Suites in Sebring-Florida, La Quinta del Sol in Orlando-Florida, TRYP by Wyndham at SeaWorld Orlando-Florida, Radisson Red Miami Airport and in 2022 the construction of another 170-room hotel under the Tryp by Wyndham flag located next to the Miami International Airport. Rodrigo was awarded “Creative Dealmaker of the Year” in 2015 by NAIOP South Florida Chapter. His experience as a lawyer has played an essential role in the success of his company, Riviera Point Invest + Develop, which has partially financed his projects through the Federal EB-5 Visa Program, achieving 100% approval by the USCIS (Office Immigration Department) for each of the commercial construction projects. Currently more than 400 people have a Green Card thanks to their participation in projects built by Riviera Point in Florida.
Rodrigo holds the CCIM® designation, graduated in law, and is the father of three children, ages 25, 22, and 16. He is the author of the books: “EB-5 Visas and Real Estate Developments in the U.S.A.” and “The Creative Dealmaker,” published by Amazon and available on Apple’s iBook store. In addition, he is a lecturer and advisor on these topics, and has spoken to a wide variety of audiences in various places, including Caracas, Buenos Aires, Quito, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and many others. He is frequently quoted in the media about trends in EB-5 Investing and Private Equity Investing in the United States, appearing on CNN, Fox News, Miami Herald, and Sun Sentinel, among others.
